Farewell Brother Albinus
Farewell Brother Albinus ~ The Man in White
The Alumni wishes to inform the members that our beloved Brother Albinus F.S.C (Michael O' Flaherty) has been called to the Lord on 4th August 2013 at 11:28 a.m in Kuala Lumpur. He left us peacefully. Arrangements have been made to bring him back to bring him back to Kuching. We have lost a great man. He was everything to many of us, a Father, Brother, Teacher, Friend, Mentor, Role Model, Counselor, Motivator and many more. Brother Albinus arrived in the shores of Sarawak in 1960, at the age of 30 where he started teaching and became the Principal of St. Joseph Kuching. In 1970 he was transferred to Sibu Sacred Heart Secondary School as one of the teachers and became the school Principal in 1972. He retired in 1987 and returned to Kuching. Throughout his 17 years in Sacred Heart Secondary School he has managed to touch the lives of many be they his students, teachers, parents and even the people in Sibu.
The late Brother Albinus in uniform ~ the white robe which he was famous for while in Sacred Heart Secondary School is seen here presenting an award to one of the Young Lasallian Kuching recipients.
Funeral Mass details for Brother Albinus
All of us are deeply saddened by the loss. He left the shores of Ireland to answer the call and came to a foreign land where he dedicated his entire life to educating us, whom he consider his children and also taught the children of our children. That land called Sarawak is his home now. We pray for his soul. We will miss you Brother Albinus. For many Sacred Heart students, you will always be known as 'Abai' and the Man in White. God Bless.
Psalm 116:15 Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of his saints.
