25^th Annual Reunion Dinner On 18^th October 2012

An update: The Sibu Sacred Heart Secondary School Alumni Association of Kuching will hold its 25^th Annual Reunion Dinner on 18^th October 2012 (Thursday) at 7pm at the Sarawak Club, Kuching.

The theme for the dinner is “Driven By Pasison”.

Ex-students and their family members and friends are set to join the Alumni's 25th Annual Dinner which will be held at The Sarawak Club on 25th Octiber 2012. Guests includes teachers  from the school and the present headmaster Mr. Stephen Tan has confirmed attendance together with the former Headmaster Brother Albinus.

22 of the member's children who have excelled in their 2011 UPSR, PMR, SPM, STPM or other equivalent examinations will be receiving academic excellence awards this year.

Tickets are still available and are priced at RM50 each. Tickets are available from any of the association’s committee members (at the left corner of the blog).

The Preparation 

The Alumni Committee 2012/2013 has held several meetings in organising the Annual Dinner and so far the preparations are smooth sailing. The best part was that the meetings are held almost anywhere and everywhere in any attire, and not just confined to the official meeting venue (Alumni's Office) with a view to get ideas that are 'out of the box'. Generous members usually will include some heavy or light snacks for these 'out of the box meetings'.

Berdoa Serta Berusaha remains our true spirit. If one is a Sacred Heart student, you will know what it means as that is the foundation of the School's badge and we practice it

25^th Annual Reunion Dinner On 18^th October 2012

The Sibu Sacred Heart Secondary School Alumni Association of Kuching will hold its 25^th Annual Reunion Dinner on 18^th October 2012 (Thursday) at 7pm at the Sarawak Club, Kuching.

The theme for the dinner is “Driven By Pasison”.

All ex-students and their family members and friends are cordially invited to join for a relaxing and fun-filled evening, packed with lucky draws. Guests will include ex-teachers as well as some former students who are now distinguished members of society.

At the dinner, academic excellence awards will be presented to members’ children who have excelled in their 2011 UPSR, PMR, SPM, STPM or other equivalent examinations. Members whose children have achieved excellent results are invited to fax copies of their children’s exam result slips and the parents’ names to 082-426159 (attention to Mr Hii Jing Song) or email to jingsong913@yahoo.com , not later than 5^th October 2012.

Tickets for the dinner are priced at RM50 each. Tickets are available from any of the association’s committee members (at the left corner of the blog) elected for the term 2012/2013 during the alumni’s annual general meeting on 13 July 2012 at Tempayan Restaurant, Crown Towers.

23rd Alumni Dinner

The Sibu Sacred Heart Secondary School Alumni Association of Kuching successfully organised its 23rd Alumni Dinner at the Kenyalang Ballroom, Sarawak Club, Kuching. Pictures will be uploaded to this post once it has been processed, so do not forget to tune in.

All Set To Dine

The Sibu Sacred Heart Secondary School Alumni Association of Kuching is all set to organise the dinner this Friday at the Sarawak Club. The response to the ticket sales have been overwhelming and those attending the dinner are all set to enjoy themselves meeting up with their former classmates and schoolmates. Apart from that many of the members are bringing their families as there will awards for the members' children who have excelled in their studies. Forward her Children Dear!

Meeting Up With Brother Albinus

The Alumni President Mr. Vincent Ting together with Mr. Desmond Jerukan, Mr. Peter Seo and Mr. Bartholomew Ngieng went to meet up with Brother Albinus on 28 August 2010 at the St. Joseph Secondary School. The members informed Brother Albinus about the Alumni's 23rd Annual Dinner plan and formally invited him. The dinner date is 15th October 2010 at the Sarawak Club. It is considered good timing as Brother Albinus had made plans to visit his relatives in Ireland a week after that.

Brother Albinus is still as sharp and up to date with current events. Discussions with him is always interesting as it can range from various international and local issues to the reading of a poem which he made.

At the end of the visit, Mr. Vincent Ting handed over some 200 children's books donated by Shirley Su and Fraulein Angking to the children's tuition class to Brother Albinus.

The 2010/2011 SHS Alumni Association of Kuching met on 3rd August 2010 and charted out the Alumni's plans plans for the coming months. On top of the agenda was the organising the Alumni's 23rd Annual Dinner.  The meeting chaired by its president Vincent Ting saw the handing over of documents from the previous office bearers.

Alumni Office Bearers 2010/2011

The Alumni held its 23rd Annual general meeting on Sunday, 25th July 2010 at Tapayan Restaurant, Kuching. Dr. Bryan Lim, the outgoing president spoke of the Alumni's past achievements in assisting needy students. He adviced the Alumni to continue to be committed, active and caring. Dr. Bryan also hoped that one day it will be able to have a more permanent location for members to organise meetings and discussion.
